Transition and circular economy A2A and Legambiente together

(Finance) – Promote the energy transition and the circular economy, overcoming the Nimby syndrome which often blocks the development of strategic infrastructures for sustainable growth of the country and the territories: these are the objectives of the memorandum of understanding signed in Rome between the A2A group and Legambiente, in the presence of Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of A2A, e Stefano Ciafani and Giorgio Zampetti, respectively president and general director of national Legambiente.


Objective of the agreement – explains the note – is to encourage the adoption of a please in my backyard approach (Pimby) in the construction of plants and infrastructures for the ecological transition.

A2a and Legambiente are committed to sharing their respective skills and resources to promote a broader and more aware vision on these issues, placing investments in the management of water resources, the development of material recovery systems capable of to produce biomethane, energy efficiency, the electrification of consumption and electric mobility. Both parties aim, in fact, to synergistically raise awareness among administrations and citizens on the concrete benefits of a responsible transition, emphasizing the importance of investing in sustainable solutions for the common good.

The signing of the protocol will launch a series of technical in-depth moments to identify common positionings, as well as joint initiatives of dialogue and listening to the territories to accompany specific industrial projects, cooperating at local and national level.
