Trailer for Netflixs new The Witcher series unleashes goddess action

Fans of The Witcher don’t just have to wait until next year for season 3. From season 4 onwards they also have to do without Henry Cavill in the lead role as Geralt. Netflix will release a spin-off called The Witcher: Blood Origin before the end of the year.

The offshoot is about the adventures of the very first witcher. Also taking part is action star Michelle Yeoh. You can get a fresh look at The Witcher: Blood Origin with the new trailer.

New The Witcher series takes place 1200 years before Geralt’s story

In the spin-off of the Netflix series, elves, humans and monsters collide 1200 years before the action of the main series. That leads to that the humans conquer the realm of the elves and bloodily destroy their culture.

As the new trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin shows, the offshoot will rely on similar images and brutal battle sequences as the main series. In addition to Yeoh as Sword Elf Scian are in the series among others Warrior Fjall (Laurence O’Fuarain), Princess Merwyn (Mirren Mack) and elf colleague Eile (Sophia Brown) are there.

The Witcher: Blood Origin launches on December 25, 2022 on Netflix and will consist of 4 episodes.
