Trailer collects the views in one day that Season 4 took three months to get

Halo Infinite Season 5: Reckoning launches just in time for the second anniversary of multiplayer mode. A first trailer was uploaded yesterday, October 10, 2023, and collected almost as many views in one day as its predecessor accumulated in three whole months. Watch the trailer here on MeinMMO.

What awaits you in the new season: The fifth season starts on October 18, 2023 and not only brings a new battle pass and new content, but, as the trailer gives many players hope, also an improvement in quality and, with this, perhaps the turning point for Halo Infinite.

Before we tell you more about the new content, you can see the trailer here:

Autoplay

With the new season, two new arena maps will be introduced into the game. The first map is called Forbidden and focuses on close and medium combat. The second map is called Prisma and, in contrast, offers you the opportunity for good sniper and long-range combat.

You also get a new mode, which should look familiar to Halo 4 players. Season 5 brings back the popular Extraction mode as PvP. It is still unclear whether this mode will be limited to the two new maps or whether it will be playable on all maps.

Firefight: King of the Hill is another exciting addition. This is a new PvE option designed to improve the cooperative gaming experience.

You can also look forward to cosmetic upgrades in Season 5. The Battle Pass offers you upgrades inspired by the zombie-like alien hivemind – The Flood. You can also earn Master Chief’s armor from campaign mode.

Even if not all of the content for the new season has been announced yet, this selection has already promised some interesting content.

Players are hoping for a turning point for Halo Infinite

What are the reactions? It’s not just the views of the trailer that indicate that many are looking forward to the new season. The trailer got almost as many views within one day as the trailer for Season 4 achieved within 3 months. The two videos only have a difference of almost 28,000 views.

Anyone who has followed Halo Infinite over the last two years may agree with many other players that the game hasn’t looked this good in a while. This seems to be changing with the new season.

How much the change in the team behind Halo Infinite is responsible for this can of course only be assumed. Among others, jfitz6517 writes (via YouTube) that it is incredible what a change in leadership can achieve.

In any case, the trailer seems to give many players hope that this could be a turning point for Halo Infinite, as evident in their comments. We have picked out a few of these impressions for you here:

  • bixhutch6274 writes: Kudos to Pierre Hintze and the team for turning the game around. This is the halo we deserve. Hopefully it can win its players back.
  • r-evolutiontv7351 writes: This is how Halo Infinite should have always been, good job on steering the fanchise in the right direction.
  • mintycrisco368 writes: Halo wasn’t dead. It was just missing the action. It’s good to see the game return.
  • Skoopa92 writes: This update is the first one I’m really looking forward to since launch.
  • What do you think of the trailer and the promised content for the new season? Do you also think that the game can still turn a corner, or not? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
