After last year’s record heat in southern Europe, there are now signs that more people from the continent are choosing to go north on holiday. At Jägersbo camping in Skåne, they have already received an unusually high number of bookings from unexpected sources. – With us, it is Belgians who have increased quite a lot, says camping owner Matthias Lindhe, who believes that it is due to the record heat down on the continent in recent summers. And statistics from the Swedish camping industry organization SCR show that last year more guests came from the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, compared to before the pandemic.
