One person is missing and more than 20 people have been rescued.
According to information to one of Kenya’s largest newspapers Nation is there an eight-year-old child who is missing.
The newspaper also reports that the boat was hit by large waves before sinking. However, it is unclear why the boat capsized, but according to the police there were not too many people on board.
According to Nation, 29 people were on board, of which 15 were foreigners. Their nationalities are not yet known.
