(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Tuscany Airportsa company listed on Euronext Milan which manages the airports of Florence and Pisa, closed the 2022 with 6,722,846 passengersup 137% on 2021. Despite the diffusion of the Omicron variant at the beginning of the year, the results of the following months allowed the Tuscan Airport System to close 2022 with 81.4% of 2019 volumeswhich had been a record year.
The passengers on domestic flights reached 87.9% of 2019 domestic passengers while those internationalhistorically prevalent in the Tuscan Airport System and most penalized by travel restrictions, 79.4% of the pre-pandemic number of passengers.
Also on the rise load factor of scheduled flights (+11.7 percentage points), which went from 68.4% in 2021 to 80.1% in 2022 and is approaching the figure (83.9%) for 2019. The result of the cargo which, with 14,907 tons of goods transported in 2022, stood at +13.1% compared to the volumes of 2019.
In 2022, 4,493,847 passengers passed through thePisa airportwith an increase of 124.8% compared to 2021 and a recovery of 83.4% on the pre-covid year of 2019. 2,228,999 passengers transited in 2022 from the airport of Florencewith a 166% growth compared to 2021 and a 77.6% recovery in 2019 traffic volumes.
