An 18-year-old Toronto man faces several charges after Woodstock police responded to a weapons call involving an unspecified injury early Monday morning.

Woodstock officers arrived at a Links Crescent home in northwest Woodstock at roughly 4 am and made an arrest.

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breaking and entering. He has been held in custody, police said.

The person injured in the incident was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Police seek suspect in minivan theft

Woodstock police are searching for a male suspect after a vehicle was stolen and recovered on Friday.

At approximately 4:20 am, the vehicle – a silver 2017 Chrysler Pacifica with damage to its passenger side – was reported stolen from the back parking lot of an auto business on Parkinson Road near Norwich Avenue.

The minivan was found about four-and-a-half hours later in a parking lot in the area of ​​Bruin Boulevard.

The suspect was described as wearing a dark coat, gray sweater, black face mask, black pants and black shoes.
