It’s not often that an original story in Hollywood is like the hotly anticipated sequel to one extremely successful franchise is traded. In the first few weeks of the year, however, that’s exactly what was observed: numerous major studios wanted to secure the new film from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

Since Coogler and his team have been very successful with their precautionary measures so far, not even the rough premise has been leaked yet. What is certain, however, is that multiple genres crossed become. Included: fantasy, thriller, horror and science fiction. Even historical elements and anime touches should shape the story.
In the latest report on the film, the Hollywood Reporter comes up with a description that gives us at least a few key words:
Insiders say that the film is set in the south [der USA] set during the Jim Crow era and possibly both vampires and supernatural traditions of the South contains. [Michael B.] Jordan could even play a dual role – as twin brothers.
Filming is scheduled to begin this April – in New Orleans. This could also tell us something about the film’s setting.

To date, almost no character details are known. All that has been leaked is that Mosaku has one romantic relationship with one of the two characters played by Jordan. O’Connell, meanwhile, plays the film’s villain, whose actions appear to be racially motivated.
