Caught on picture – on the way to Blåkulla

Frida Hammarström was tired, stressed and a little withered, but determined to make sure the family made it to the Easter march in Visby on Maundy Thursday. But the trip went a little too fast and Frida was caught on a speed camera – like a very angry slur:
– An ordinary mother of small children who had an ordinary breakdown, laughs Frida.

The mood was not at its best when the family set off for the annual Easter parade in Visby. So it took time to get everyone’s makeup done.

– It goes without saying that you have to wear Easter make-up to get that desirable Easter egg at the end. It’s not always easy to get the children to join in on this, and to get the youngest to put on make-up, I put on make-up myself, says Frida.

Classic chaos with small children

When the whole family finally got into the car, it was suddenly very urgent to make it to the parade on time.

– We were all sick with a fever, so when we got into the car, it was classic chaos with small children, says Frida.

Caught in a picture as an Easter bunny

Once away, Frida Hammarström stepped on the gas pedal a little too much during the journey between Slite and Visby, and was caught in an automatic traffic control. A picture that showed a very pissed-off driver, also an Easter bunny.

– Yes, when it flashes to that, the speed camera has caught a completely normal mother of small children having a normal breakdown with two completely normal children screaming their lungs out in the back seat. And it shows on me, says Frida.

Got the picture as a postcard

The police department for automatic traffic control probably had a good laugh when they saw the picture. The world’s angriest Easter driver has driven too fast! It resulted in paying a fine of SEK 1,500. But the picture was so funny that Frida posted it on her social media, to the great joy of many. And soon an odd Easter card dropped in the mailbox from the cousin.

– She had printed the picture for a postcard. And it was not the small model but an A5 size! She thought this was the funnest thing that had happened so far this year, says Frida.

The whole island’s Easter witch

The entire post office has now seen the picture, and probably all of Gotland because the whole story ended up in the local paper.

– Witch is not a new nickname for me, but now I am the whole island’s Easter witch too, laughs Frida.
