Tiger Woods has not competed since the British Open in July.

The idea was that he would make a comeback this December. But now Woods has suffered an injury that prevents him from participating in this weekend’s Hero World Challenge – which he himself is hosting.

The reason is an injury to the right foot.

“I have discussed the injury with my doctors and have come to the conclusion that I must stand over the competition and instead focus on my duties as an organizer,” writes the golf star on Twitter.

Some of the world’s best golfers battle it out for the title in the Bahamas. In 2019, Henrik Stenson was the winner, but this year he is not invited as a result of the move to the heavily criticized Saudi LIV tour.

Now the 46-year-old Tiger Woods is targeting two other competitions in December – namely The Match and the PNC Championship.
