In Helldivers 2, players can unlock many tactical gears through Requisition Tickets to upgrade their equipment. We’ll show you the best equipment in the tier list and tell you which ones you should take with you on deployment and which ones you should do without.

Update, April 29, 2024: We have updated the Tier List and included the new tactical equipment “RL-77 Air Detonation Rocket Launcher” in the ranking. After patch 1,000,300, nothing has changed in the equipment ranking.

What equipment can be found in the Tier List? These are the tactical equipment that you can unlock in ship management. From weapons, orbital strikes, to tech gear, turrets, or eagle attacks, we’ll list all the options for fighting enemies so you know which tactical gear is the best.

    Equipment must fit the task in Helldivers 2

    What are the best equipments? Despite Tier List, it’s impossible to say exactly, as you should take different equipment with you depending on which operation you choose.

    In terms of offensive equipment, the orbital rail cannon strike is particularly worthwhile for Hulks, tanks, strikers or titans – i.e. for large and properly armored enemies. The Eagle’s cluster bomb and laser are used to keep the smaller units at bay and decimate them.

    When it comes to stock equipment, you have a larger selection and can choose freely depending on which weapon or support item you like. The SH-32 Shield Generator Backpack or Jump Pack will greatly increase your chances of survival if you can handle them. When it comes to weapons, you can decide depending on the situation:

  • Flamethrower against small and large Terminids
  • Railgun against heavily armored enemies like Hulks or Titans
  • Bow throwers against smaller ground forces from each faction
  • Stalwart against smaller ground forces from each faction

    • The Automatic Cannon or Recoilless Rifle are also strong against nests and larger enemies, but take up your backpack space for ammunition and are therefore rather semi-optimal.

    The defensive equipment is usually taken when you go on missions in which you have to defend or destroy something. The Tesla tower and the automatic cannon are particularly worthwhile here. Both are strong against enemies, but with the Tesla Tower you have to be careful not to get zapped.

    The EMS mortar gun is underestimated by many, but is particularly worthwhile for defense missions, as the mortar gun immobilizes your enemies within a large radius and makes it easier for you to take them out.

    You should also note this: This list is for guidance only. Depending on which mission you take on and what your teammates take with you, your priority when choosing equipment will also change. However, if you enjoy equipment like the orbital gas attack or smoke bombardment, feel free to take them with you – as long as you don’t destroy other Helldivers with them.
