A dear colleague from a major newspaper once urged me never to relinquish the copyright of my photos, “It’s all you have as a photographer”. The best advice ever. Throughout the day you make choices as a photographer, about lighting, cropping, point of view, choice of clothing, posture and so on. There is often a lot that precedes it. Originality and creativity, that’s what counts.
