Three face charges after drug raid on Six Nations

Three Ohsweken residents face drug charges after police on Six Nations of the Grand River simultaneously executed three search warrants on Feb. 1.

Police said they arrested two women, aged 22 and 49, and a 35-year-old man after searching a home on First Line Road and a home and store on Tuscarora Road.

Police said they contacted Ogwadeni:deo, a child welfare agency on Six Nations, for help after finding children at both homes.

Police said they seized at the three locations: Canadian currency, oxycodone, hydromorphone, pre-packaged baggies containing cocaine, digital scales, drug packaging and cellphones.

Each of the three accused is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. The older woman is also charged with possession of oxycodone and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking. The man is also charged with five counts of breach of recognition.

Police said their investigation is continuing.
