Thousands of IT workers have funded North Koreas missile program

According to the FBI, the phenomenon is already so widespread that every company that ordered IT services from a freelancer may have hired an employee who participated in the North Korean plot.

According to the US Federal Police FBI, thousands of IT workers employed by US companies have been sending their wages to North Korea for years to finance the country’s national missile program.

According to the US Department of Justice, the employees in question have provided companies with IT services remotely. The FBI does not reveal exactly how long the procedure has been going on.

According to the authorities, however, US money has ended up in North Korea in the amount of millions of euros.

In connection with the investigation, the US federal government has succeeded in confiscating funds that were on their way to North Korea in the amount of 1.5 million dollars. The case is still under investigation.

Working in the FBI’s St. Louis office by Jay Greenberg according to it is more than likely that every company that has ordered IT services from a freelancer has also hired someone who has participated in the North Korean plot.

– Employees who worked remotely have used fake personal information to get jobs. The phenomenon is already so widespread that every company should be very careful in verifying the personal data of the people it hires.
