Two children have been injured on a playground in Sandviken.
According to the police, they have been injured by some form of air weapon, soft airgun, slingshot or similar.
– They are dealing with young children, they are not in their teens, says Pelle Vamstad, press spokesperson at the police.
The alarm came in to the police at 20.35 and the two children were taken to hospital in an ambulance, the police state that their injuries are not life-threatening.
– They have been injured in connection with the playground, at the time there were more children than those who were injured on the spot, says Pelle Vamstad.
Two men in their 30s were arrested near the playground by the police.
– My opinion is that they were not inside the playground, says Pelle Vamstad.
The initial criminal classifications are assault, violation of the Weapons Act, violation of the Public Order Act and causing danger to others.
– We’ll see what the investigation and interrogation of the arrested yield, says Pelle Vamstad.
The police also urge the public to call 114 14 if they have any more information about the incident.
