From January 1, 2024, certain French people will be able to request completely new financial assistance to undertake adaptation work in their apartment or house.
Keeping the elderly or people with disabilities at home can quickly become problematic if the housing is not adapted to their needs. In France, it is also a thorny subject. - People with disabilities, justifying a level of incapacity greater than or equal to 50% or who are eligible for disability compensation benefit (PCH)
- People experiencing early loss of autonomy, aged between 60 and 69, attesting to a GIR level (iso-resources group) of 1 to 6.
- People aged 70 and over, regardless of their level of autonomy or dependence.
What work can we undertake?
The MaPrimeAdapt’ system covers up to 50% or 70% of the cost of adaptation work undertaken, both for the interior and exterior of your home, up to a ceiling of 22,000 euros. excluding taxes and depending on the household income level. As you might expect, there are different jobs that can be done in this type of situation. A certain number are eligible for financial assistance, such as the installation of a stair lift inside their home, the fitting out of the bathroom and kitchen, raised toilets with a grab bar.
