This is what we know about the drone attack on the Russian airbase

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a total of 53 drones were shot down, 44 of them over the Rostov region, where Morozovsk is located.

At 01:30 local time wrote the governor of Rostov, Vasily Golubjev, about a massive drone attack over the city of Morozovsk, located three kilometers from the air base of the same name. The electricity grid was knocked out and 600 residents were without electricity on Friday morning.

    Sources for, among other things BBC and Ukrainian media claims that six aircraft were totally destroyed and eight planes were damaged during the drone attack. However, the damage that has occurred cannot be verified until new satellite images have been taken of the air base.

    Dead and wounded

    Sources of Ukrainian media also claims that 20 people have been injured or killed as a result of the drone attack. Something that has not yet been verified.

    But at lunchtime wrote Rostov Governor Vasiliy Golubjev that eight police officers conducting a crime scene investigation were injured when one of the drones exploded.

    Several military air bases

    In addition to the Rostov airbase, Ukraine targeted drones in the Saratov and Krasnodar regions. There are also military air bases there.

    There are no reports of injuries yet. Russia’s Defense Ministry claims it shot down one drone over Saratov and six drones over Krasnodar.
