It was during a youth festival in Sochi on Monday that Dmitry Medvedev gave a speech in front of the map.
– The perception must disappear forever. Ukraine is undoubtedly Russia, he said on stage.
Dmitry Medvedev used to be a power factor in Russia. But nowadays he does not have as much influence over politics. Bert Sundström believes that his statements and opinions have no major significance.
– But at the same time he is still a voice for the local population. You have to understand that this is part of the Russia that is now emerging, where people actually think things that we might think are completely insane, says Bert Sundström.
