– We do everything we can to inform about when and where we carry out exercises and other activities, says Patrik Warström, head of education at Dalregementet.
If you are in the vicinity of a firing range, it is your own responsibility to inform yourself of the risks and rules that apply at the site. There may be exercises in the area, although it does not sound like activities are going on.
He was arrested in Falun
On Thursday, a man was arrested by police after being in a military training area in Falun and the police began a preliminary investigation into violations of the Protection Act.
The area in Falun is well signposted and Patrik Warström does not see that the Valley Regiment can do more than they already do to show that the area should not be entered in any way.
There is no fence around the area, would not that be an option?
– I do not see that it would be realistic to fence in such a large area. It would entail restrictions for the public and get our business, it will be incredibly long distances with fences, says Warström.
