Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke before the concert held within the framework of events in the city of Volgograd on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Red Army in the Battle of Stalingrad.
Stating that the long and difficult war in Stalingrad, formerly known as Stalingrad, came to an end 80 years ago, Putin said that the outcome of this war determined not only the Great Patriotic War in Russia, but also the entire World War II.
Pointing out that the Battle of Stalingrad was a turning point in history, Putin said that with the defeat of the largest group of the Wehrmacht (the armed forces of Nazi Germany) and its satellites, the will of the entire Hitler coalition, consisting of the European vassals and henchmen of Nazi Germany, was defeated.

Stating that what defeated Nazism was the character of its multinational people who went to the end for the sake of the motherland and truth, Putin continued his words as follows:
“Now, unfortunately, we see that the ideology of Nazism in its modern appearance, in its modern manifestation, again poses direct threats to the security of our country. We are forced to repel the aggression of the collective West again and again. Unbelievably, but true, we are again threatened by German Leopard tanks with crosses on their bodies, again on the territory of Ukraine, Russia. They will fight with the hand of those who follow Hitler, at the hand of the Banderaists.”
“MODERN WAR WITH RUSSIA WOULD BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FOR THEM”
Pointing out that the Western elites have many friends all over the world, including the Americas, North America and Europe, despite the propaganda against Russia, Putin said:
“But those who draw European countries, including Germany, into a new war with Russia, and moreover irresponsibly declare it a fait accompli, expect victory over Russia on the battlefield, apparently do not understand that a modern war with Russia will be completely different for them.
