To the north of Puy-en-Velay, the Saint-Michel chapel perched on its rock dominates the town of Aiguilhe from the top of its 82 meters. Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Michael, the building which was built on a volcanic peak is accessible by a staircase of 268 steps.
