The recruitment company Randstad conducts a survey every year where they ask Swedes what they think of 150 different companies and authorities in Sweden.
Based on the answers, you can then see which company the Swedes consider to be the most attractive employer in Sweden, something like News24 wrote more about.

Last year’s winner is pushed from first place
Last year, the Swedes considered Spotify to be the most attractive employer, but this year the company was knocked from its first place by none other than Ikea.

The reason why Swedes appreciate Ikea so much as an employer has, among other things, to do with the company’s good reputation, long-term job security and benefits, writes Randstad in a press release.

News24 have been in contact with Ikea to find out why they themselves think they received the award this year.
– We have fantastic colleagues throughout Sweden who do their best every day to meet our customers and it is this work that is the basis for this award, says Miriam Swärdh, HR manager at Ikea Sweden.

“Good at celebrating”
But there won’t be any staff party. Miriam Swärdh says that Ikea likes to party and celebrate most things, but at the moment there are no party plans to celebrate this award.
– We at Ikea are good at celebrating both big and small, but we don’t have a special celebration planned for this particular award.
