There will soon be gamer noodles with caffeine

For many people, caffeinated drinks are part of gambling, as are quick snacks. A noodle manufacturer has now combined the two and is bringing “gamer-friendly” noodles onto the market.

The history of the noodle manufacturer Nissin Group began in 1958 with the development of the world’s first instant noodles. Now they want to bring caffeine-containing “Cup Noodles” onto the market that will primarily appeal to gamers.

The noodles are coming onto the market in Japan – if you want to put your stomach to the test with this wild combination, you can currently only do it there.

The “gamer-friendly” dish

The combination of a quick snack and caffeine while gaming is a must for many people. Some gamers stock up on 120 energy drinks before important releases. A pasta manufacturer has now apparently thought: combine caffeine and snacks, why not? It somehow goes faster with the calorie and caffeine intake.

Now what kind of noodles are these? Nissin Group is planning two different dishes. In addition to noodles, there will also be a curry version with rice. Both are said to be “soup-free,” thereby saving gamers from hands and gaming setups soiled with broth while playing.

The caffeinated pasta dish will feature meat and a soy-based sauce flavored with pepper and garlic, according to the website translation. In addition to caffeine, the rice dish contains a curry sauce with meat and ginger.

As far as the design of the “Cup Noodles” is concerned, the colorful cup is reminiscent of gaming setups with RGB lighting and is probably intended to appeal to exactly this target group. The information about the new gaming snack has already been picked up on Reddit:

Translation of the image text: “Cup Noodles” brings a caffeinated version to become “gamer-friendly”.

This is how the reactions turn out: The post by user kevinowdziej currently has around 2,800 upvotes and 40 comments on Reddit. A user comments on the post by saying that the dish has long been “the cheapest, fastest and easiest meal on the planet” and is therefore already perfect for gamers (via Reddit).

Another user replies, “I won’t throw this out, a quick and easy pasta meal and a big hit of caffeine all in one? Hell yeah.”

Other users also express their enthusiasm in the comments. DZL100 calls gaming noodles the “food of the gods” because they are cheap, quick and easy food.

Another comment refers to the new caffeinated snack’s ability to aid digestion: “If instant noodles haven’t made you shit fast enough, then I’ve got just the thing for you.”

It remains to be seen whether gamers will tolerate the RGB noodles like young gods, as well as whether the noodles will make it to Europe. That almost smells like there is potential to bring the quick, caffeinated snack onto the market for German gamers, right?
