The year’s most unexpected huge tribute to Ebba Andersson – the Swedish skiing star is completely surprised: “She deserves it”

Ebba Andersson has a fantastic year behind her.
Now she has also received the most unexpected tribute.
Namely, a very own song about the Swedish ski queen.

Last year was incomparably good too Ebba Andersson. Swedish cross-country skiers took over the vacant throne after Therese Johaug and became the WC queen in Planica 2023.

Won the Jerring Prize

With two WC golds and two WC bronzes, Ebba won the championship of her life and was praised by everyone. Despite that, she was still not nominated for the Sports Gala in any of the jury’s categories.

The only prize category she was in was the people’s prize, the glorified Jerring Prize. And what a revenge it was for the Swedish 25-year-old who sniffed both Armand Duplantis and Daniel Ståhl and received by far the most votes from the Swedish people.

Ebba’s own song

Now Ebba Andersson has also received the most unexpected tribute in her career. Namely a very own song, listen to it below. The Sundsvall musician Dan Henrikssonbetter known by the stage name Danny Cooltmoorehas released the song “Min Ebba Andersson”.
– I am fanatically interested in skiing. It was around Christmas that the chorus, the text and everything just appeared, says the artist to P4 Norrbotten.
– It was great when Christer (Jonasson) came into the picture.

Radio sports Christer Jonasson has lent his voice as ski commentator to the song, listen to it below.
– When she wasn’t even nominated for Woman of the Year at the Sports Gala, what did she do? Well, she won the Jerring Prize, the prize of the entire Swedish people. And then she deserves the tribute, says Jonasson about her contribution to the song.
– It was great, I think.

“Oh, Ebba, she is the best of all. Prettier than Kalla, she doesn’t need a groom,” reads one of the lines in the musical tribute to Andersson. And the Swedish ski star will probably be quite surprised when she hears the song on the radio.
– She’s probably heard it, but she hasn’t gotten in touch and told us what she thought yet, says Danny Cooltmoore in the interview.
