The USA is massing troops in Eastern Europe The move

In a statement made by the Estonian Ministry of Defense, it was stated that the USA will deploy infantry units to the country.

In the statement, it was stated that the US-made HIMARS rocket system and the equipment related to this system will also be deployed to Estonia.

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that this decision marks a significant increase in the alternating military presence of the United States in Estonia and the Baltic states.

NATO STRENGTHENS THE EASTERN WING

Pevkur stated that the decision demonstrates the long-standing commitment of the United States to the security of the region and strengthens NATO’s presence.

The U.S. infantry unit usually has 80 to 250 soldiers.

At a time when the Ukraine-Russia War is raging, the announced deployment to Estonia, a NATO member and Russia’s neighbor, is thought to aim to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank.

Estonian defense officials announced on December 3 that they would purchase the HIMARS rocket system from the USA with a 200 million dollar deal.
