It has surprised teammates all season.
But in the last race that finally Frida Karlsson’s first caution in the World Cup.

During the weekend was Frida Karlsson once again back in the competition tracks after the World Ski Championships. Due to illness, she has missed several races during the end of the season, but at the very end, the Swede made a comeback on Sunday.
Frida’s ending
Unfortunately, there was no podium, but the 23-year-old had to settle for a sixth place in the season finale of the World Cup, and she can look back on a successful season. With the overall victory in the Tour de Ski and four WC medals in Planica as the absolute highlights of the winter.

But alongside the successes, there has also been another giant joke that has characterized Karlsson’s season and actually surprised many teammates. Namely that she had not received a single warning at the World Cup this season for unauthorized riding before the last competition weekend, something that is otherwise usually quite common if your name is Frida Karlsson.
– I said that I have not received any yellow cards this season (to my teammates). Then the others answered immediately: “Well, you have! How can you not have it?”. They think I’m moody when I drive, says Frida to SportExpress with a laugh.

Karlsson warned
But right at the finish line of the mass start, the teammate and best friend ran Maja Dahlqvist up to Karlsson and was jubilantly happy.
– Immediately when I reached the finish line, Maja shouted: “Frida, you did it!”, says Frida in the interview.

Because in the last race of the season, Frida Karlsson had actually broken the rules and received the season’s first yellow card. The competition jury warned the Swede of a technical violation during the ride, even though Frida herself has no idea when it happened.
– I have no idea. It can be in many different situations, she admits to the evening newspaper.

Frida Karlsson now has a much-needed rest season after an intense season with many successes and also setbacks with illness and fatigue.
