The tension in the region does not decrease! Taiwan army’s vigilance level increased

The tension in the region does not decrease Taiwan armys

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, paid a visit to Taiwan. While the sovereignty debate between China and Taiwan continued, Pelosi’s visit increased the tension in the region. Taiwan’s leader, Tsai Ing-wen, reacted sharply to the military exercises that China initiated after Pelosi. Stating that Taiwan will not increase the tension in the face of China’s threats, Tsai stated that it will defend its sovereignty and noted that the Taiwanese army has increased the level of vigilance in the exercise areas.

“IRRESPONSIBLE ACTION”

Taiwan’s leader, Tsai Ing-wen, who is in a sovereignty conflict with China, said in a televised public address that China’s launch of missiles around Taiwan was an “irresponsible act” and “increased military threats in the region”.

“(China’s actions) undermine the status quo in the Taiwan Strait and violate our sovereignty,” the Taiwanese leader said.

“I WILL NOT RISE TENSION AGAINST THREATS”

Tsai stated that Taiwan will not escalate tensions in the face of China’s threats, but will defend its sovereignty, and called on Beijing to “act with reason and restraint”.

VISIBILITY LEVEL INCREASED

Expressing that the government will take the necessary measures for the smooth operation of the activities at the ports and airports and the stable functioning of the financial markets, Tsai noted that the Taiwanese army also increased the level of vigilance in the exercise areas.

CALL ON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY

Emphasizing that Taiwan will continue to work with the countries of the region and its democratic partners in the world to preserve peace in the Indo-Pacific region, Tsai said, “We call on the international community to support Taiwan’s democracy and oppose China’s unilateral and irrational military actions.” said.

The Taiwan leader thanked the G7 countries, which issued a joint statement criticizing China’s actions, “for their support for peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.”

Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense reported that guided missiles launched by China during military exercises around the island yesterday fell into areas it considers “territorial waters”.

ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL ORGANIZE MILITARY DRILLS

China’s Ministry of Defense announced that after Pelosi’s visit, it would hold “a series of military exercises” around the island.

It was reported that joint exercises with the participation of sea and air elements in the north, southwest and southeast of the island, conventional missile tests in the east and long-range artillery drills in the Taiwan Strait will be held.

The exercises, which are expected to last until August 7, have created a de facto blockade around the island, where China is in a conflict of sovereignty.

While some regions were closed to ship and aircraft traffic due to the exercises carried out in six regions, it was reported that the flights were interrupted due to security concerns at the strait crossing.
