It was on Saturday evening that a 15-year-old was shot to death in the center of the Stockholm suburb of Skogås. The teenage father Murat Yildiz lives in the area and feels a great fear for his son, so much so that the son is no longer allowed to go outside.
– I’m afraid that the children will end up in the wrong place and because of that he has to stay at home all the time, because I don’t think it’s safe. I am adamant, he is not allowed to go out in the evenings, he says.
Precisely the importance of not ending up wrong is something Murat emphasizes extra strongly:
– If you end up in the wrong circle, you either end up in prison, or you end up like this young guy – deceased.
