The Swedish Transport Administration has submitted budget basis for the government where they ask for funds for 2025–2027. In order to be able to maintain the procured train traffic, more money is needed according to the Swedish Transport Administration, somewhat the Altinget newspaper be the first to tell.
“If additional funds are not provided for 2025 and 2026 respectively, the Swedish Transport Administration will not be able to sign an agreement for train traffic to Trondheim, (…) or night train traffic to Jämtland”, writes the Swedish Transport Administration.
The government’s spring amendment budget will be presented on 15 April.
