With three Olympic Games and several successes in both the World Cup and the World Championship behind it, has Britta Johansson Norgren has grown to a profile in cross-country skiing. Not least in the long races, where she has reaped great success with, among other things, two victories in the Vasaloppet.

The new assignment

Now it is clear that Brita Johansson Norgren will be the new expert in the Winter Studio. Ski Classics, the long-distance cup in cross-country skiing, has grown stronger in recent years and there the 39-year-old hopes to contribute with his expertise.
– It will be great fun and inspiring to work as an expert at SVT sport. I hope to be able to contribute by conveying experiences about what it’s like to drive the races and the tactical game out in the tracks, says Britta Johansson Norgren to SVT Sport.

She herself is most looking forward to the Vasaloppet, where she will also help the exercisers in their preparations for the nine-mile race.
– My hope is, among other things, that I will get more people to discover that they are strong enough to be able to stake with a slightly better technique, she says.

“Really exciting”

The Norwegian cross-country king Peter Northug makes his debut in Ski Classics in the coming season – something that Johansson Norgren is looking forward to following closely in addition to the Swedish teams.
– The season feels really exciting with several big Swedish teams and after a content-rich silly season, it feels more open before the season than ever. Of course extra interesting to see what a comeback by Petter Northug can be enough for.
