The strong anger after Sweden’s shock loss in the World Cup – Truls Möregårdh roars after the exit: “I’m very disappointed”

To the eighth, but no more.
Sweden’s table tennis men are already eliminated from the team WC in Busan in the round of 16.
– I will be very disappointed if we hear that this is a fiasco, says star player Truls Möregårdh.

Taiwan won the Round of 16 3–2 in games. The left-handed world number eight Lin Yun-Ju won both their matches and in the deciding match lost Matthias Falck against Taiwan’s Kao Cheng-Jui.
– I will be very disappointed if we hear that this is a fiasco. The match we got is a very, very tough match, says Truls Möregårdh.

Sverigeetta continues:
– Of course we also had higher expectations that we would go further. It’s disappointing but I don’t think we’ve performed poorly in any way. We get a tough draw and play a devilish game, but cod in the end. Just forget about this as soon as possible.

It started well with Möregårdh’s victory over Kao Cheng-Jui with 3–1 in a set. But then got Matthias Falck beat the left-handed world number eight Lin Yun-Ju with 0–3. Anton Källberg gave Sweden the lead by 3–2 against Feng Yi Hsin.

But then both Möregårdh and Falck lost their other matches, against Lin and Kao respectively, in straight sets.

In the last WC, Sweden reached the quarter-finals, but fell to China. As reigning European champions, Sweden is already qualified for the Olympics in Paris this summer.
