On the occasion of the Rolling Stones concert in Brussels on Monday night, fans of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards have dressed the iconic statue in band clothes. The change of clothes is to the great delight of the people of Brussels.
– We hope that Mick Jagger and the others will come by and take a picture with him, says Philippe Close, Mayor of Brussels.
Famous statue has seen most of it
The statue depicting a little boy peeing is called Manneken Pis and is one of the world’s most famous Belgians. It was created in the early 17th century and has been stolen several times. The current statue is from the 60’s and several times a week it gets new costumes and right now it has been dressed in perhaps the world’s most famous tongue.
