Canadian Andrew Calof is a well-known name in the SHL. The forward has represented both Skellefteå and Växjö Lakers, where he celebrated great success in the latter club.

The 31-year-old played a part in winning two SM golds, in 2018 and 2021, with Växjö – where he was a strong contributor during both golden years. In total, he scraped together 93 points in the seasons he had to lift the dent, but left Växjö this spring.

The reporter Wimösterer Martin, who covers German ice hockey, writes on his Twitter account that the breakup with Schwenningen is money-related.

“It’s wild, and it’s about money,” he writes, among other things, in a post.
