In a study conducted by scientists from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine on the data of more than 20 thousand adults, it was stated that those who followed an 8-hour time-restricted nutrition program, a type of intermittent fasting, had a 91 percent higher risk of death from cardiovascular disease.

The research was presented on March 18 at the Epidemiology and Prevention Conference organized by the American Heart Association in Chicago, USA.
