Traces of cocaine on half of the Riksdag’s party offices.

Aftonbladet found that during an investigation.

Now the Riksdag is acting, reports Sweden’s Radio Ekot.

The revelation hit like a bomb in January this year.

Aftonbladet’s review of all parliamentary parties’ chancelleries showed traces of cocaine on half of them.

“Complete panic”

The result created chaos in the parties whose toilets tested positive for traces of the drug.

– It is complete panic. The chancellor wants to drug test all officials, an SD source told Aftonbladet after the revelation.

In addition to the Sweden Democrats, traces of cocaine were found in the offices of the Liberals, the Social Democrats and the Left Party.

V leader Nooshi Dadgostar ended up in a storm when she played down the revelation and urged Aftonbladet to test their own toilets instead.

“Educates about addiction”

Now the Riksdag is acting and taking measures to, among other things, “educate the chancellors about abuse”.

– Now we look ahead, and do these knowledge-raising activities, together with the parties’ chancelleries,” says the Riksdag’s head of security Niklas Åström, to Echo.

The heads of the party offices and in the Riksdag administration must also “sharpen their knowledge of the Riksdag’s routines for the entry and handling of visitors”.

The measures must now take place during March.
