It is about the residents of the town of Uckfield in Sussex in the south of England who stood for a somewhat innovative solution to remedy their problem.
After a long time of pleading with local authorities about bumpy roads, they had had enough, and felt they had to do something.
So they decided to draw giant penises around all the holes in the road to vent their displeasure.
Did not go to clean away
At first, the authorities did not want to give way to the residents’ demands and decided to simply clean up the artworks. But it didn’t work, so they simply had to give up.
To the delight of the residents, the authorities relented and simply filled the holes.
How many penises were drawn around the community is unclear.
