The collection goes to projects in Ukraine for children suffering from mental illness as a result of Russia’s invasion of the country.
“Giving a birthday gift that alleviates children’s suffering is the best gift,” says Kristina Henschen, secretary general of Radiohjälpen, in a press release.
The start shot for the collection goes at the same time as “Världens Barn – Startskottet” is broadcast on SVT1 on Friday, September 29. On Saturday 7 October, the queen will be a guest at the television gala “Together for the World’s Children”.
