The Prime Ministers of Burkina Faso and Mali visited Niger on Friday December 29. Choguel Maïga and Apollinaire Kyèlem from Tambela arrived in Niamey late in the afternoon, for a working visit announced to last three days. The authorities of these three neighboring countries, led by soldiers, have come together within the framework of the Alliance of Sahel States since the July 26 coup in Niger.

The prime ministers of Mali and Burkina Faso were welcomed by Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine upon their arrival at Niamey airport. They had a first interview there, in the official lounge. According to the program of their working visit to Niger, they should be received on Saturday December 30 by General Abdourahamane Tiani, head of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP).

Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, Choguel Maiga and Appollinaire Kyélèm from Tambela then went to the Escadrille roundabout in Niamey, where a rally was held calling for the Patriotic Front for Sovereignty.

On the program: concerts and shows which brought together a crowd who came to celebrate the end of the withdrawal of French soldiers from Nigera week ago, and the end, therefore, of the sit-ins started at the beginning of September to demand this departure.

Flags of Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali and Russia were visible, as well as banners with logos AES, for the Alliance of Sahel States. The three representatives stood on a podium and greeted the crowd, before leaving without speaking.
