Markku Kanerva named his team for the final matches of the Nations League. Goalkeeper VIljami Sinisalo and Central defender Arttu Hoskonen are participating in Huuhkaj for the first time.

With the head coach of the Finnish men’s national football team Markku in Kanerva there was a lot to talk about at the team announcement for the final matches of the Nations League on Wednesday.
Currently playing in the Dutch league in FC Emmen’s shirt Jasin Assehnou has decided to pursue a place in the Moroccan national team, and thus is not available in Huuhkaj. Assehnoun, 24, moved to Holland last year from FC Lahti.
– There have been discussions with Jasin for a long time and I even went to meet him. He wanted time to think, and now told me his decision when I contacted him. He is betting everything on getting into the Moroccan national team, Kanerva said.
Morocco is participating in the winter World Cup. Assehnoun played in Huuhkaj last year in two training matches, which did not, however, lock him into the Finnish national team shirt. The player can no longer change the national team after playing in competitive matches.
Kanerva said that he was also in contact with the top transfer to AC Milan Malick to Thiaw, 21, who is still eligible for representation in the German and Finnish national teams. The central defender will play in the German shirt next summer in the under-21 European Championships, but has not yet ruled out the possibility of playing for Huuhkaj.
– Let’s see how the career in Milan progresses, Kanerva said.
Among other potential new national team players, the one playing in Hamburg Anssi Suhonen has recently recovered from an injury. According to Kanerva, Suhonen, 21, was not yet ready to join the national team, but needs minutes in the club team to get fit.
Completely new players in Huuhkajie’s group are HJK’s Toppari Arttu Hoskonen and a goalkeeper in England’s third tier on loan from Premier League club Aston Villa in Burton Viljami Sinisalo.
Sinisalo was invited to join the team at the last minute Jesse Joronen due to injury. According to Kanerva, the team will be completed with one more central defender, because that too Sauli Väisänen has to miss international matches due to a broken toe.
The happy news for Huuhkaj is that in the German Bundesliga, Augsburg performed strongly Fredrik Jensen returns to the national team after almost a year’s break. Jensen has played five Bundesliga matches this season and scored one goal.
Huuhkajat will face Romania next week in their last home game of the year. Around 15,000 tickets have been sold to the Olympic Stadium so far.
