The new update to Dragon’s Dogma 2 finally gives you the feature that should have been there from the start

Update 1.050 has been released for Dragon’s Dogma 2 and, in addition to smaller quality-of-life improvements, there is finally the feature that would actually go without saying and that many players have longed for.

Title update 1,050 for Dragon’s Dogma 2 was released on March 29, 2024. The biggest feature of this update is the ability to finally start a new game if a different save file is available. This wasn’t possible before because manual and automatic saving only ever used one slot.

Since the release, many players have wanted the option to create multiple save slots, as some quests and events in the world can be annoying for many players. The dangerous dragon plague would also be less threatening for vassals with multiple save states.

The update also adds new setting options.
