The new tribute video to Henrik Zetterberg will give you goosebumps – now honored with the powerful appointment

Henrik Zetterberg won everything.
Now he is being rewarded for his unparalleled career.
The icon has been inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame – and the tribute video will give you goosebumps.

A few years have passed since Henrik Zetterberg ended his fantastic career. During his time as a hockey player, the Swedish icon managed to win just about everything, and he was also a fantastic team captain for his Detroit Red Wings.

The incomparable tribute video

“Zäta”, as he is called, won the Stanley Cup in 2008, when he also scored the decisive goal in the sixth final against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the entire playoffs, but above all, he made a huge impression in the Tre Kronor jersey.

Henrik Zetterberg is one of the few to have won the Triple Gold Club, i.e. Stanley Cup, Olympic and World Cup gold, and this week the proof of his incredible career came. Zetterberg was elected this week, in connection with a ceremony during the Ice Hockey World Cup in Finland, into the International Ice Hockey Federation’s Hall of Fame. In connection with the appointment, Zetterberg gave a speech, and in addition, a tribute video with highlights from his career was shown.

Nice speech

And it’s really hard not to get goosebumps from the images of a career that’s hard to top. In his speech, however, Zetterberg chose to highlight his wife, Emma.

– My wife Emma came into my life in 2006. I am convinced that when you are happy in life, you play better. You made me a happy person and a better person. I want to thank you for everything you have done and thank you for allowing me to do what I have done. Especially after my career, the transition to being a retired ice hockey player is not always easy. You made it so much easier, says “Zäta” in the speech.

Zetterberg also talked about his son Love, who plays hockey in Rögle.

– He is seven years old. He is probably playing a match in a football tournament at home in Ängelholm now. I love your priorities. A soccer tournament before joining here. I am enjoying every second with you, I am so looking forward to following your journey in life. I promise that I will always, always be there for you, says “Zäta”.
