Among the photographs taken on Mars published by NASA, the photo resembling a cave door that looks like it was made by human hands aroused curiosity. The image, taken on May 7 by the Mast Camera aboard the Curiosity spacecraft, showed a structure resembling a door dug into the rock. It was remarkable that the structure in the photograph looked too symmetrical to be a naturally occurring formation.

The photo, which excited conspiracy theorists, was also on the agenda on social media. Some have argued that the mysterious square is evidence of life on the Red Planet.
POSSIBILITY OF PRESSURE FRACTURE
Some users on Reddit have pointed out that the door-like structure is most likely a pressure fracture. It was also written that the structure was the result of some kind of forcing on a piece of rock that was broken with the help of one or two Martian earthquakes.
MAY NOT BE AS BIG AS IT SEES
Scientists, on the other hand, stated that the image is not surprising, it was formed as a result of earthquakes on Mars and it was not as large as seen in the images. Scientists said that the large slit on the left of the doorway indicates the rock cracking that occurs frequently in the region, while the rock in front fell through the opening.
