How do you find the courage to be different and express that with pride? And do you dare to stand for what you believe in? This is what the children’s show Het Mooiste Blauw by Studio Figur is about. In the fairytale story, young Faizah looks forward to the festive moment when her older sister will wear the hijab, the Islamic headscarf that also evokes hatred and bullying. How can she protect her from that? Zahra Anna Lfil plays Faizah: “It’s not just about wearing the hijab, it’s about standing for who you are and listening to your own voice. And knowing that you are not alone in your choices but have support from the family to that’s why I’m doing this performance.”
