The Minister of Migration’s announcement: Fast file to jobs for well-educated immigrants

At the company Emhart Glass in Sundsvall, machines are manufactured to produce glass bottles and glass jars and are extremely dependent on foreign labor.

– Glass manufacturing is significantly more common in many other parts of the world and we are completely dependent on qualified workplace immigration, says Fredrik Sundin, global project manager at Emhart Glass in Sundsvall.

About 200 people work at Emhart’s factory in Sundsvall, and a large part of the staff comes from countries other than Sweden. During the ministerial visit, Emhart’s factory manager had a wish from the government.

Fast track for the highly educated

– It must be easier for labor immigrants to come here and it must be possible for them to bring their families, says Fredrik Sundin.

And the migration minister, who was visiting the factory in Sundsvall on Monday, listened. Then she told me that the Swedish Migration Agency, on behalf of the government, introduced a fast track for high-quality labor immigrants.

In the video clip, you can hear the Minister of Migration explain how the fast track should work.
