After taking their daughter to different playgrounds, they decided to create something unique to operate as a business, after seeing several indoor playgrounds had the same concept with many geared to only smaller children.

“We just wanted to make sure all ages can play,” Singh said.

The Magic Land, which is 8,750-square feet (813-square meters), will feature a donut slide, Ninja course, soft playground, foam pit, rope course, toddler zone and rope climbing.

A unique feature will be the sky stepper, designed to test your balance. Singh said it is designed by her husband and is something they haven’t seen in any other playground.

The playground will also be available for birthday parties, Singh said.

Chatham is “testing the water” for their new concept of an indoor playground, she said. She added they would eventually like to see if there is an opportunity to franchise the business.

The Magic Land is expected to open in early February at 600 Junction Ave. More details on prices and rules can be found at www.themagicland.ca.
