Allow Sunday opening at Systembolaget and that Systembolaget’s stores must be open until 8pm every day of the week.
Also allow licensed shops, under regulated forms, to sell beer, wine and cider as a supplement to Systembolaget
That is what the Liberals must work for, according to the decision taken by the party’s national meeting on Sunday. The party board did not want to say yes to Sunday opening or to licensed shops.
However, the party board was involved in the national meeting’s decision to abolish the requirement that bars and pubs that serve alcohol must also offer cooked food. It opens up to specialist wine bars.
“It is a step for a slightly freer society that does not risk public health,” writes the party board in a response to one of the motions.
