The journalist’s sawing that Henke refused to forget – years later he got a perfect revenge with the wild move

Henrik Larsson was sawn by a journalist in Celtic.
Several years later he got a terrible revenge.
– Yes, the rumor is true, he says.

Henrik Larsson is undoubtedly one of our greatest ever. He became a cult hero at Celtic, he made a huge impression at Barcelona – and at Manchester United he was praised to the skies by Sir Alex Ferguson himself for his efforts on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Beautiful revenge

But it was not always obvious that the career would be so successful. Henrik Larsson had a hard time getting it off the ground in Europe after his breakthrough in Sweden, but at Celtic everything fell into place, and he grew into one of the world’s best goalscorers. But at the beginning of the time in Scotland, it wasn’t just cheerful faces from the tough media corps.

Henrik Larsson was once sawed by a football journalist, and he did not forget it. Several years later, however, he got a nice revenge several years later. During an event, Larsson, and several of his teammates, chose to throw the journalist in question into a pool.

– Yes, that rumor is true. It was at that time you could joke a little with the local journalists, Henrik Larsson told FourFourTwo.

“He’s still laughing”

Henrik Larsson goes on to talk about the incident, but points out that he was not alone in the whole thing.

– It wasn’t just me; we were some players and we decided to throw in him as a joke. He was fully clothed – otherwise it’s no fun, says Larsson.

Larsson also confirms that the reporter in question had seen him when he was younger, but…

– It was not for that reason that we threw him in the pool.

Today there are no hard feelings between Larsson and the journalist.

– He still laughs about it when I talk to him.
