The job market continues to resist

Employment rises at the same time.

“The situation on the labor market continues to look good, employment and hours worked are increasing. The positive development on the labor market is now primarily driven by women,” writes Louise Stener, statistician at the Labor Force Surveys at Statistics Sweden, in a press release.

“Resilient labor market is not just a Swedish phenomenon. We see the same tendencies in the rest of Europe as well as in the USA. A widespread lack of qualified personnel is resisting,” writes Alexandra Stråberg, chief economist at Länsförsäkringar, in a comment.

But it will get worse soon, next year unemployment will rise to 8.4 percent, she believes.
