Charlotte Baris: As you now know, most of the time, the front page of L’Express is validated almost a week before its release on newsstands, during a major editorial conference. And so that was the case last week. Our journalists were on deck to deal with a major political-economic issue. Some articles were already completed and laid out…

And then, during the weekend, the drone attack launched by Tehran towards Israel punctuated more than 40 years of tensions between the two powers. For the moment, the region has not caught fire, but the threat is far from being eradicated.

An event like this is exactly the type of subject that forces us to completely rethink our copy. And in this case, we postpone the front page file until later, to make room for this new news. This change of direction, carried out less than 36 hours before the magazine was printed, resulted in a large 10-page dossier, entitled “Middle East, the worst-case scenario”. And these are the analyzes that we are going through at La Loupe today.
