Few anime franchises have had such an immense impact internationally as in Germany as Dragon Ball. However, anyone who wanted to put the first Dragon Ball series on the shelf in the best quality has so far looked down the drain. Not anymore. Appear after 36 years the first screen adventures of Son Goku, Bulma and Co. for the first time in Germany on Blu-ray.

The 153 episodes of the anime series ran in Germany on RTL II from 1999. At least there is now the very first episodes of Dragon Ball coming to Blu-ray soon. Volumes 2 through 6 of the edition published by Crunchyroll continue to be available only on DVD. But hopefully this will be delivered soon.
Nevertheless, even Volume 1 already has a whopping 11 hours and 40 minutes of Dragon Ball episodes. Anyone who despised the German dubbing at the time and prefers the Japanese original will find the choice of both languages ββin the package.
When will the first Dragon Ball episodes come out on Blu-ray?
Anyone who is already feverishly waiting for the start of Dragon Ball in pin-sharp quality will have to be patient. Dragon Ball Vol. 1 will be released on January 12, 2023 on Blu-ray.
